On-Line dating has become an acceptable tool for meeting new people. Just like meeting someone at a party, a bar, or at work, basic safety precautions should be in place. Here are our recommendations.
Trust your judgment

This is your best resource for safety because in the end your safety is up to you. Better to be safe than sorry.

Take caution exchanging personal info

Do not give out phone numbers and emails until you feel comfortable to do so. It is perfectly acceptable to tell the other person you need a little more time before you give out such personal information.

For your first few dates meet, in a public place

When you and another member from Fan Crush decide to meet in public, choose a public place, not anywhere private like a home, apartment or hotel room. A mall, a crowded park, or a coffee shop are ideal public places to meet.

Let a friend or family member know where you will be

It is always a good idea when meeting a stranger to let a friend or family member know where you are going and that you will check in with them once the date has ended.

Asking for Money

If somebody asks you for money for transportation to visit you (or something similar) it is probably a scam.

We strongly discourage sending anybody money

If someone requests money from you please report them to us as soon as possible.

Stay Alert

When on your dates do not do drugs or consume excessive alcohol. It is always best to be alert and in a sober state so that you can always have your wits about you.

We have a "No Creep" Policy

At Fan Crush we have a No Creep policy with regard to our membership. If anyone exhibits behavior that is harassing or inappropriate please let us know as soon as possible. It will be dealt with confidentially and swiftly.
